The Slim Strandnet (Smart Beach Grid) of the Municipality of The Hague earned an honourable top-three position as a finalist in the Government Innovation of the Year 2025 competition. This was announced on Thursday during the Government Awards final at the Royal Theatre (Koninklijke Schouwburg).

Energy grid of the future<\/strong><\/h4>

With the Smart Beach Grid<\/a> is developing the energy grid of the future together with grid operator Stedin at the Northern Harbour Head of Scheveningen. The Slim Strandnet connects sustainably generated electricity from beach pavilions with, among others, the event site and the new Harbour Control Centre.<\/p>

Smart technology ensures that local supply and demand are optimally balanced, reducing the load on the public electricity grid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
