Discover the Smart Beach Grid at the Open Energy Day

On Saturday, 20 September 2025, the innovative Smart Beach Grid in Scheveningen will open its doors to the public during the national Open Energy Day. Visitors will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how renewable energy is generated locally and directly used to power residents, beach pavilions, and events.

Guided tours along batteries, transformers, and solar panels

During the Open Energy Day, guided tours will take place every hour at the Smart Beach Grid. Visitors will walk with experts along the transformer, the distribution network, the battery, the circular solar panels, the event power connection, and the Energy Management System dashboard.
