The Hague faces social challenges. The city is growing. New (technological) innovations offer opportunities and can provide the city with smart solutions. This transforms a city into a Smart City. Technology and digital innovations help residents and the municipality to manage and govern the city, aiming to create a pleasant, livable city for residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs that meets needs and is future-proof.

Working towards a Smart City

Many parties in the city use new technologies. Not just the municipality itself. Residents, businesses and visitors also make use of this and the municipality wants to use it as well as possible. For example, a company wants to supply beach pavilions with an electric car, robot or drone. Is that possible? Are the current traffic rules sufficient?
